Wait, what's your name?: I am Amanda Deibel, that is my legal married name.

Why Amanda Dorian?: Amanda Dorian Carper is my maiden name. I have always loved the name Dorian, and since I gave it up when I got married I wanted to honor it in some way.

When did you get married?: November 4th, 2006 to my high school sweetheart, Eric.

What is your style of shooting?: Photojournalistic photography that focuses on the emotion of the moment.

Do you only shoot weddings?: Yes, but I'm always open to other projects.

Why do you only shoot weddings?: Because I wanted to specialize in one field, and even though weddings are the most challenging, I think they're also the most rewarding and interesting.

Do you take formal pictures?: Yes! If you give me a list of what group formal shots you want I will do my best to make them happen. I keep them short and sweet.

Do you pose your subjects? No. I try to avoid it. I don't believe in over-posing subjects because I want you to look natural and comfortable, but I will place you, especially in group shots. I try to capture events as they happen without staging them.

Do you have insurance?: Yes, I have both liability and equipment insurance.

What equipment do you shoot with? MAINLY: Canon 60Ds, 24mm 1.4, 100mm 2.8, 70-200 4.0, 580exII Flash

Do you bring back up equipment?: Yes, I bring backups for everything.

Do you have/need a second shooter?: My husband actually shoots with me when I need a second shooter, but I am always on the look-out for alternates and thirds.
