So much of my wedding photography business has been based on my own personal experiences. I will never forget planning my own wedding. My fiancé and I did everything, from assembling the invitations to learning calligraphy for our table place cards. I won't even go into the eighteen pumpkins we hollowed out the day before our wedding. But, by far the hardest part of planning was finding our photographer.

For a long while it seemed like everyone we found was either completely out of our price range, or too traditional and formal for us, and those were just of the photographers that would call us back! How could it be this hard to find someone to take our pictures??

And now years later, the pictures that never fail to make me smile are the ones where the emotions take center stage. My little sister giggling while dancing with my dad. My best friend embarrassed by the garter being placed on her leg. My husband looking wonderfully happy. These are the moments I want to save for my brides.
